Kimmich, a versatile player who excels in both midfield and at right-back, is open to joining Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, or Barcelona. Plettenberg emphasized that Kimmich’s departure from Bayern could happen this summer or by next year, at the latest.
Arsenal’s Strategic Importance
Securing Kimmich would not only bolster Arsenal’s midfield but also prevent the talented German from joining Premier League rivals Manchester City. Pep Guardiola has previously praised Kimmich as an “outstanding” player, one who could enhance City’s starting eleven.
