Manchester United Express Interest in Khephren Thuram

Manchester United have shown interest in signing OGC Nice’s Khephren Thuram this summer, according to French outlet L’Equipe. Despite a challenging season under Erik ten Hag, which ended on a high note with an FA Cup victory over Manchester City, the Dutch manager’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain. Regardless of who will be in charge next season, United have already started identifying potential signings to strengthen their squad.

Transfer Strategy for the Summer

United are looking to bolster various areas of the team, including the defense and attack. A new striker to support Rasmus Hojlund is a priority, but acquiring a new midfielder is also on the agenda. Amadou Onana, Joao Neves, and Joao Gomes are among the names linked with United, but these players come with hefty price tags.

Given financial constraints, United may need to sell players to fund new acquisitions. In this context, Khephren Thuram, standing at 6ft 3in, has emerged as a viable and cost-effective target.

Thuram’s Potential Move to United

According to L’Equipe, United are keen on Thuram and may formalize their interest in the upcoming transfer window. With Thuram entering the final year of his contract, Nice is willing to negotiate and could accept a fee of at least £17 million.

Interestingly, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, owner of Nice, recently acquired a minority stake in Manchester United, potentially facilitating Thuram’s transfer. It remains to be seen whether United will make a concrete move for the French midfielder in the coming weeks, but his addition could significantly enhance their midfield options.
