Manchester United Still in the Race for Benjamin Sesko

Reports suggest that Chelsea has initiated talks to secure Sesko, and David Ornstein of The Athletic claims Arsenal currently leads the race.
However, Romano offers a more hopeful perspective for United fans. He reveals that Sesko is evaluating proposals from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, and the ‘extremely quick’ striker has yet to make his decision.
All three clubs are vying for Sesko’s signature, while RB Leipzig has put forward a lucrative offer to retain him. Romano explained in a YouTube update:
“There is a crucial step to do – it is when Sesko will decide his future. Sesko is taking his time to decide. He has a new contract proposal from Leipzig. Leipzig offered him really important money, really important salary, to be the star of the team next season, to change the release clause in his contract. So, a big proposal from Leipzig.
“Now, Sesko has to decide whether he wants to stay at Leipzig and extend his contract or leave and probably go to the Premier League. So, first step has to be this one. Then, which clubs? They all remain in the race, nothing has been decided yet, I can guarantee about that.
“Sesko is still taking his time to decide between Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal. These three clubs are in the race, everything is still open, Sesko has not accepted anything yet. He has all the projects in front of him, so it’s up to Benjamin Sesko basically to decide what he wants to do.”
United’s Chance to Correct a Past Mistake
Manchester United have made some notable transfer blunders over the years. One significant misstep was their decision not to sign Erling Haaland in 2020, despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s recommendation.
