Jadon Sancho’s recent exclusion from the Manchester United first team due to a fallout with manager Erik ten Hag has sparked rumors of his potential departure. Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma have been linked with the winger, and reports indicate that he is currently unable to use the facilities designated for the Red Devils’ senior team.
Sky Deutschland has weighed in on the possibility of a return to Borussia Dortmund for the 23-year-old England international. Sancho previously spent four successful years with the Bundesliga side before Manchester United secured his services for £73 million in 2021.
According to Sky’s transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, Sancho is keen to leave Manchester United in January, as he has struggled to replicate his Dortmund form in the Premier League. Plettenberg suggests that a loan move may be more feasible than an outright sale, given the high cost associated with his transfer.
Plettenberg also reveals that Sancho has been in regular contact with Dortmund manager Edin Terzić. While a return to Signal Iduna Park may currently seem unlikely, Plettenberg emphasizes that a transfer cannot be ruled out entirely.
